The Armenian community of Westchester began organizing a new parish in the early 1970s with the blessing of Primate Bishop Torkom Manoogian. The first Divine Liturgy was celebrated in 1973, and the growing congregation held services in several temporary locations throughout the region while building a strong foundation of worship, education, and community life.
In 1980 the parish established its first permanent home in Purchase, New York, where church organizations, choirs, youth groups, and educational programs flourished, serving Armenians from across Westchester County and Southern Connecticut.
As the community continued to grow, a new property was purchased in White Plains in 1993, where the present church complex was later built. Today, the parish remains a vibrant spiritual, cultural, and communal center, sustained by the dedication, generosity, and volunteer spirit of its parishioners.
